Katerina Tzamou was born in 1965, in Veria Imathias (Greece). She studied Archeology and Art History in the University of Ioannina in Greece (1984-1988) and in the University Paris I, Panthéon-Sorbonne in France (1989-1995), where she obtained her PhD diploma (Doctorat in Art History, Paris I, Panthéon-Sorbonne, 1996). She worked as a researcher historian in the “Institut Français d’ Architecture – Département Archives et Histoire” (1990-1993) and in the “National Museum of Modern Art, Centre Georges Pompidou” (1993-1994) in Paris. She kept a teaching post in the Hellenic Open University (School of Humanities, Art History) for nine years (2002-2011). She worked in the Academy of Athens (Research Office in History of Architecture) as a researcher detached from the Ministry of Education for three years (2009-2012). She is a teacher belonging to the Ministry of Education (upper secondary school) since 1995. She kept a teaching post in Varvakeion Model High School (2004-2017). She then obtained a teaching post in Evangeliki Model High School of Smyrna, where she teaches Greek, History and Art History during the school year 2017-2018.
